Yesterday I spoke at a press conference in Columbus about my experience as an active duty member of the Army returning home to find that my right to vote had been stripped away. The right to vote is the fundamental right that ensures all other rights. The right not to vote should not be used to arbitrarily strip this right away. Let me be clear that THERE IS NO EXCUSE to strip this right away from Ohioans. Those who violate election laws are prosecuted, with their votes not counting. 250 prosecutions came out of the 2016 election, out of 11.6 million people in our state. You tell me if we have a real issue with integrity.
Today, I’m on my way to the United States Supreme Court to fight and advocate for this very right. For Veterans, for my community, the 89th House District, and all of Ohio.
